Contact us with AccuRx
You can contact a doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional online using a website called AccuRx. This replaces our old online consultation system. This is the primary way to request an appointment to see a GP.
Routine appointments
To request a routine appointment in advance during opening times:
- phone us on 020 8761 8070 – a receptionist will assist you in submitting an AccuRx request on your behalf, if you cannot yourself
- in person – a receptionist will assist you in submitting an AccuRx request on your behalf, if you cannot yourself
Surgery consultations with our doctors, nurses and care co-ordinator are by appointment only.
Online consultations
All appointments are now triaged by the doctors daily. Please use our AccuRx form and you will receive a response within 2 working days.
The doctor will either book a telephone consultation with you, respond to you directly if it is something that can be dealt with via email or, if the doctor feels you need to be seen, you will be offered a face to face appointment. Our telephone consultation periods you can be offered are:
AM – 9:00am ~ 13:00pm
PM – 14:30pm ~ 18:00pm
If you request a specific time within these time frames, the clinician will do their best to follow them but please be aware it is not guaranteed the clinician will call during your specified time.
Telephone service
The telephone service to contact the practice is available from 8am to 6:30pm and we do not close for lunch.
Enhanced access
Early morning, 7am to 8am appointments are available at the practice with our pharmacist and our care-coordinator. We also offer special smear clinics monthly with two of our doctors, these dates vary monthly so please contact reception for the smear clinic date(s).
Contact details
When we call you, the practice’s phone number 020 8761 8070 should be displayed on your phone.
We cannot leave messages on phone lines where there is no personalised greeting, as we cannot then be sure that we have reached the right person, so if you need us to call you back, please ensure that you’ve personalised your voicemail on either your landline or your mobile.
If your patient details change any time, please keep these up to date by completing our change personal details form.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- phone us on 020 8761 8070 during opening times and let a receptionist know
- by leaving us a message on our cancellation line, accessed by calling us on the above number
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10am.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
