We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our AccuRx service.
Baby clinic and childhood immunisations
Dr Pooja Agarwal will complete the first baby check, and the nurses do the first immunisations in pre-bookable appointments.
Nurse Norma, nurse Bola and nurse Iris do other baby immunisations as pre-booked appointments. Vaccinations are only given to children with consent from a person who has parental responsibility as defined by The Children Act 1989. Please ask reception for information.

Female patients
Our nurses offer the following cancer screening services:
- Cervical cytology (more commonly called a smear)
- HPV vaccination (a vaccination that prevents cervical cancer) for teenage girls
- Breast examination
It is important for women between the ages of 25 and 64 to have a smear test every three years. If you think you are not up to date please make an appointment.
We will also write to you if we receive notification that you missed your mammogram to remind you to book another appointment.
Male patients
If you are concerned about your prostate, you should book an appointment as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms with your doctor.
Contraception and sexual health
Our nurses and doctors will advise on contraception and all aspects of sexual health.
Minor Surgery & Cryosurgery
Cryosurgery is a procedure we have under Dr Parihar’s minor surgery clinic for the removal of skin tags, warts and verrucae.
You can book a cryosurgery appointment with Dr Parihar given a doctor from our practice has indicated you should do so. Please let reception know if one of our clinicians has suggested this. You will be placed onto a waiting list for the appointment to be offered to you. Please be aware receptionists do not directly book these appointments, and you will be contacted when you are next to be offered an appointment.
You may be a patient registered with another GP which has referred you to us for Minor Surgery. You will be contacted by a member of our Minor Surgery team about your appointment through text or call.

The NHS health check programme aims to help prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and certain types of dementia. Think of the NHS health check as a midlife free MOT.

Antenatal care and postnatal care
Maternity online self-referral process
King’s Maternity Unit would like to see women as early as possible in their pregnancy so we can plan their care. It is also important that all necessary blood tests are done on time so further tests, if required will not be delayed. This is especially important with sickle cell and thalassaemia screening were an early diagnosis improves early partner testing rates and allows for earlier counselling and pre-natal diagnosis for at risk couples.
You do not have to wait to see a GP before as you can self-refer directly to the service.
Referrals will be sent directly to the antenatal administrators who will respond within 5 working days. They aim to see women for their booking appointment before they are 10 weeks pregnant.
Antenatal appointments
Patients can also book a routine appointment with one of our doctors to be referred to the hospital for antenatal care.
Postnatal appointments and baby checks
On receipt of a patient’s discharge summary, the practice invites mothers in for their postnatal check up with Dr Pooja Agarwal. We will also offer an appointment for baby’s 6-week check at the same time. Baby will be booked for his/her first immunisations with a nurse after the baby check.
