Clinical research

We are proud to be a research ready accredited practice.

We work collaboratively with the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) which is the Research arm of the NHS.

We believe that clinical research is essential for the improvement of patient care and treatment and ultimately patients’ quality of life.

We support several types of Primary Care studies which have been ethically approved. Our GP Research Lead is Dr Shailender Parihar and our Research Administrator is Zoe Ferguson.

If you are a patient at ODHC you may receive invitation letters to ask if you wish to take part in a research study. Joining in a research study is completely voluntary.

However, if you do not wish to be contacted about research studies please let us know in writing addressing your letter to Ms Zoe Ferguson.

To find out more information about clinical research studies please visit National Institute for Health Research website.
